Are We Entering a Period of Economic Malaise?
Saturday, October 31st, 2009 | Author:

I’m typically not a fan of Peggy Noonan, but I’ll have to admit she really had a humdinger of an editorial in a recent issue of the Wall Street Journal.  She exclaims that “We’re Governed by Callous Children”:

The biggest threat to America right now is not government spending, huge deficits, foreign ownership of our debt, world terrorism, two wars, potential epidemics or nuts with nukes. The biggest long-term threat is that people are becoming and have become disheartened, that this condition is reaching critical mass, and that it afflicts most broadly and deeply those members of the American leadership class who are not in Washington…

He felt government doesn’t understand that business in America is run by people, by human beings. Mr. Frank must believe America is populated by high-achieving robots who will obey whatever command he and his friends issue. But of course they’re human, and they can become disheartened. They can pack it in, go elsewhere, quit what used to be called the rat race and might as well be called that again since the government seems to think they’re all rats.

Funny Quotes about Fools
Monday, October 26th, 2009 | Author:

1) “A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely fool-proof is to underestimate the ingenuity of fools.”

2) “You don’t have to fool all the people all of the time; you just have to fool enough to get elected.”

3) “The best way to convince a fool that he is wrong is to let him have his own way.”

4) “A fool always finds a greater fool to admire him.”

5) “Get the fools on your side and you can be elected to anything.”

6) “A man who cannot reason is a fool, a man who will not reason is a bigot, and a man who dare not reason is a slave.”

Liberal Jews – Part 22
Monday, October 26th, 2009 | Author:

It’s unfortunate that the input material for this continuing series never runs dry… We have two new Jewish Leftists to add to the ‘dishonor’ role:

Jacob Weisberg – writing in Newsweek that he considers Fox News not just bad, but un-American.

Rosabeth Moss Kanter – professor at Harvard exclaiming the real enemies of America are not Iran and North Korea but people that disagree with O’bama’s policies.

Wow, when they shut down our country due to bankruptcy (financial and moral), these two will still be there rooting for the policies of O’bama and the Democrats…

Basketball and Football in the Same Day
Sunday, October 25th, 2009 | Author:

I started the day by going to UD Arena with my buddy, Steve, to catch the Dayton Flyers scrimmage game…  I then headed to the UC Nippert Stadium with my buddy, Dave, to watch the Cincinnati Bearcats play football — all in the same day.

Bicyclist Killed on My Trail
Saturday, October 24th, 2009 | Author:

As a regular bicyclist, this story in the Dayton Daily News gave me more than a moment to pause:

The 44-year-old Tipp City woman struck while riding her bike Thursday, Oct. 22, has died… She was struck about 1 p.m. on Philadelphia Avenue near Frederick Pike.

This is the heart of my bicycling trail, less than a mile from my home… My condolences to her family.

Number 1 Enemy of the Jewish People

You may be surprised… it’s not the Holocaust-denier from Persia (he’s #2).

Yes, it’s the Kapo from Chicago… Rahm Emanuel:

He’s the power-hungry Democrat serving in the O’bama administration.  He wants to be historical and blatantly ignores all of his family’s sacrifices in the 1940s…  I don’t know if there is another self-hating Jew in history that took steps comparable to the actions that this man is taking (Karl Marx?).

There is nothing more dangerous for the perpetuation of the Jewish People than a well-meaning liberal Jew.
