A Mandate Provides Liberty?
Tuesday, May 08th, 2012 | Author:

When I first saw the Orwellian title, I had to stop and take a second look.  Indeed, a couple of Leftist authors titled their article. “Yes, the Health-Care Mandate Is About Liberty“.  Hmmm, they used quaint observations such as:

The real threat to liberty… the failure of the health-insurance market.

The mandate would seem to fall well within current boundaries of the government’s power to regulate interstate commerce and to do whatever is “necessary and proper” for carrying out its duties…

They might as well just cut to the chase and say: “You must do as the government says so that you can be free.”

The Doctors’ View on Obamacare
Wednesday, April 18th, 2012 | Author:

The American Medical Association has weighed in on Obama’s new health care package:

  1. The Allergists were in favor of scratching it, but the Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves.
  2. The Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it, but the Neurologists thought the administration had a lot of nerve.
  3. Meanwhile, Obstetricians felt certain everyone was laboring under a misconception, while the Ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted.
  4. Pathologists yelled, “Over my dead body!”, while the Pediatricians said, “Oh, grow up!”
  5. The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the Radiologists could see right through it.
  6. The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the Urologists were pissed off at the whole idea.
  7. Anesthesiologists thought the whole idea was a gas, and those lofty Cardiologists didn’t have the heart to say no.
  8. In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the assholes in Washington.

Hat tip to Joe K!
