Defining Equality

I wrote previously about how much I disdain the State of Michigan for its support of Affirmative Action.  Interestingly enough, the student that took the University of Michigan all the way to the US Supreme Court to challenge Affirmative Action is behind an initiative to put the definition of equality on the ballot for Michigan voters.  George Will writes an excellent article in RealClearPolitics about the attempts by Liberal organizations in Michigan to challenge the measure from appearing on the November ballot.  Even though there were over 500,000 Michigan citizens that signed a petition to have it appear on the ballot, the left-wing organizations are attempting to have it disallowed on technicalities.

This is a vote we’ll have to watch…
