BMW .vs. Infiniti… in Court

If you’re an automobile aficionado, you are probably well aware of the famous BMW “M” series cars.  This is the moniker applied to the high-end versions of the BMW sports cars.  For example, the M5 is the 500 horsepower version of the 5 series BMW automobile… Meanwhile, when Inifiniti (the luxury brand for Nissan) came out with performance automobiles in 2003, they elected to call their cars the M45 and the M35.

Well, guess what?  According to Autoblog, BMW has sued Infiniti in Canada and BMW won the trial.  The amount of damages that Infiniti must pay BMW has yet to be determined, but in the meantime it has to “deliver to the plaintiffs [BMW] or to destroy under oath, all literature, invoices, packaging, signs, advertisements, promotional or marketing material, printed or otherwise recorded, in the possession, custody or control of the defendant.”
