A Contrast in Accomplishments
Tuesday, December 31st, 2013 | Author:

I found the following on the web… it really puts things into fact-based perspective:

During the 3.5 years of World War 2 that started with the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor in December 1941 and ended with the Surrender of Germany and Japan in 1945, the U.S. produced: 22 aircraft carriers, 8 battleships, 48 cruisers, 349 destroyers, 420 destroyer escorts, 203 submarines, 34 million tons of merchant ships, 100,000 fighter aircraft, 98,000 bombers, 24,000 transport aircraft, 58,000 training aircraft, 93,000 tanks, 257,000 artillery pieces, 105,000 mortars, 3,000,000 machine guns, and 2,500,000 military trucks. We put 16.1 million men in uniform in the various armed services, invaded Africa, invaded Sicily and Italy, won the battle for the Atlantic, planned and executed D-Day, marched across the Pacific and Europe, developed the atomic bomb and ultimately conquered Japan and Germany.

It’s worth noting, that during the almost same amount of time, the Obama administration couldn’t build a functioning web site.

Free Money from an African Prince
Monday, December 30th, 2013 | Author:

What a Deal!… I got an email the other day from a Nigerian prince.  He’s got a MILLION DOLLARS and he wants to give it to me for FREE!

And all I have to do is give him all my bank account numbers so he can transfer the money!

I was about to do it, but then I got another email; It’s from a Kenyan prince, and he wants to give me FREE healthcare for life!

…and all I have to do is give him all my bank account numbers so he can make it happen!

Portman has to Go
Saturday, December 28th, 2013 | Author:

I don’t know about other voters in the State of Ohio, but I’ve had enough of Senator Rob Portman and his political positioning…  It started with his hypocrisy in support of introducing a new affirmative action group, and it ends now with his support for a ‘budget’ that favors illegal immigrants over military veterans.

Republicans who voted strip away military pension.

We’ll be looking for other candidates to fill his position in Washington.

Do Entitlement Policies Work for Cities?
Friday, December 27th, 2013 | Author:

During a TV debate with Robert Reich, Newt Gingrich noted for his liberal counterpart:

“Every major city which is a center of poverty is run by Democrats. Every major city. Their policies have failed, they’re not willing to admit and the fact is it’s the poor who suffer from bad government.”

Is It Really a Budget ‘Deal’?
Thursday, December 26th, 2013 | Author:

I’m not sure I understand the reasons that Mr. Ryan and other fiscal ‘conservatives’ felt that this budget agreement was a good deal, but this cartoon sums it up nicely…

Christmas Gifts
Tuesday, December 24th, 2013 | Author:

Interesting facts about Christmas gift-giving:

  • 53 percent of Americans plan to “re-gift” this year.
  • 1 in 3 men will wait until Christmas Eve to finish their shopping.
  • 1 in 6 men would like to get rid of all the “gift-giving nonsense.”

Obama’s Middle East Plan
Friday, December 20th, 2013 | Author:

The foundations for Israel’s destruction have been laid by the Obama administration. All that remains is the completion of Iran’s nuclear program. For those who have long touted Israel’s invincibility and its need to take risks for peace because of its nuclear arsenal, that invincibility will no longer exist. Israel will either bomb Iran now or await its own destruction later.

Obamacare Introduces Uncertainty
Thursday, December 19th, 2013 | Author:

The economy does not like uncertainty.  Everything Obama does turns to bad stuff…Mark Steyn sums it up best:

You know, even if you have insurance, you can be standing at Rite-Aid at ten minutes before closing on a Friday afternoon to get your pills for the weekend, and something will have gone wrong, and they’ll deny you access to those pills. And there is, and he was saying there’s a general fearfulness in the system that Obamacare is intended to address. But Obamacare in fact has just increased fearfulness and uncertainty in the system, and for millions and millions of people, too.
