This posting is a photographic survey of some 20 cucumber plants that I developed from seed (note: cucumber plants, similar to most squash plants, grow easily like weeds) and how they tend to grow in the vertical position on their own if they’re developed anywhere near a vertical structure (biological or otherwise). From the photos below, you can see a cucumber plant growing up the side of an Asian Lillly, around a shepard’s post, up the trunk of a crabapple tree, and so on. They are really remarkable plants.
