It was a beautiful Saturday morning and rather than laying around the house, I decided to challenge my “Bicycling Torture Course”. This is the 15-mile route that crosses the Stillwater river three times and has the Dayton-version of the Tour D’France with our infamous Martindale Hill. This course runs around the Englewood dam and includes numerous elevation changes.
Many of my friends are impressed when I tell them that I ride 40 miles on the River Corridor bike path… In reality, a 40-mile ride on flat land is easy compared to the 15-mile, multi-hilled torture course near my home.
