You may have missed it, but we Jews just recently celebrated the holiday known as Purim. Ironically, Purim is the celebration of the Jewish people prevailing against their enemies — you guessed it — the Iranians (i.e., Persians) over 2,500 years ago. I suppose that this is part of the “what goes around, comes around” or “some things never change”.
The Book of Esther or the Megillah is a key document used for the celebration of Purim. The photo below shows my sons scanning the Megillah that my grandfather gave to my synagogue over 50 years ago.
