I went to the University of Cincinnati basketball game versus Notre Dame last night with my brother Ronn and buddy Dave Chaliff. Instead of being played on the UC campus, the game took place at the US Bank Arena (formerly the Riverfront Coliseum). I hadn’t been inside the Coliseum since I went to a Springsteen concert there more than 25 years ago.
The Irish looked tough during the early going, but the Bearcats started lighting them up from three-point range in the second half, and cruised to an easy victory. At this point, they both look like their best hopes are NIT bids for the post-season.
