Marc and I went to the Dayton Demonz hockey game at Hara Arena yesterday. The Demonz play in the Federal Hockey League (FHL), which sounds like a league from the hockey movie, Slap Shot. Interestingly, it appeared that both teams were playing in uniforms from defunct hockey teams… perhaps this is the business model of the FHL. Keep costs down by carrying small rosters, using used uniforms, and playing in low-cost arenas… Overall, I was relatively impressed with the quality of play. The Demonz beat a team from Danville 13-4. The Danville team was trying a new angle by using a female goalie.
