Son Leonard sent an email alerting me that an Israeli scientist had won a Nobel Prize. After I clicked on the link, I realized that I knew the winner — Dr. Danny Shechtman! He used to work on sabbatical at Wright Patterson AFB, and my mother used to have him at our home for dinner.
