Well, as long as we’re talking about modern-day Jewish baseball players, we should include Shawn Green (his grandfather shortened the last name from Greenberg to Green). He has recently joined the New York Mets in that metropolis of Liberal Judaism known as New York (Queens to be precise). Green is an accomplished baseball player, having played previously at Arizona and Los Angeles.
For the record, I for one really dislike baseball. I always say that to qualify as a “sport”, the event has to make the participants sweat. Thus, I consider baseball and golf as mere hobbies for some lucky folks…
