In a recent article in the American Thinker, Ed Lasky explores the history of the American Jew’s devotion to the Democratic Party. He notes that many years ago: “The [Democratic] Party was seen as one that had offered help to the doomed Jews of Europe, opposed prejudice, and supported the fledgling state of Israel… Conversely, the Republican Party was perceived to be a WASP enclave, isolationist in its outlook, and weak on support for Israel”.
The author notes that these traditions have clearly changed: “Developments in the Democratic Party bode ill for the Jewish people… The rank and file of the Party has become increasingly anti-Semitic and support for Israel has noticeably fallen.” Furthermore, a recent NBC polls shows that Republicans sympathize more with Israel than Arab states by an overwhelming 84% compared to just 43% of Democrats.
You should read the entire article where Lasky lists the multitude of anti-semitic Democrats, including John Dingell of Michigan, Jimmy Carter of goofy land, and their friends Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, etc.
