What is a “Progressive”?

What do you think it means when a group of people elect to change their well-known moniker or label?  If you haven’t noticed, Democrats that heretofore were known as “Liberals” now refer to themselves as “Progressives”.   You can read about it in the Communist news site known as the Nation (trust me, any site that publishes ‘Rabbi’ Michael Lerner is Communist).  They want you to believe there is some distinction among the feathers of the left wing, however, it’s really just a recognition that Liberalism and most of the ideas that it represents is no longer well received by the American public.  Thus, they’ve decided to hide behind a label that sounds less outdated, and… well, more progressive.
