Another 15-mile trip around downtown Dayton and UD Arena…  The weather was so calm so we stopped to get some nice photos.

I did a quick 15-mile ride around the hills near Englewood dam.   I went as slow as 6 mph on some of the steep uphills, and as fast as 35 mph on some of the graceful downhills.

We were at the start of our ride when my rear tire and rim suffered a major blowout (fortunately I was only going 12 mph at the time).  It resulted in me carrying my bicycle back to the car for a little more than a mile… that’s one way of getting exercise.

We got back on the bicycles during the early morning on Independence Day and did a 40 mile tour of east Dayton out to Xenia.  The temperatures soared into the low 90s so that made the ride a little more challenging (not to mention the sore rear-end from the long ride).

Well, we don’t let the moss grow under our feet…  After playing a tennis match in the morning, we headed out to take a ride from Carillon Park, south to Miamisburg. Everything was fine until the rain, thunder, and lightning started when we were 8 miles away from our car.

And yet another bicycle ride on the trails around Dayton…  This time to downtown Dayton and the east to Wright Patterson and Beavercreek.  This was followed by an afternoon hike to Englewood Dam and Aullwood Gardens.

Another ride, this time from Little York Rd to downtown Dayton.  It was another beautiful day with temperatures in the low-70s, and highlighted with the scenic ride along the Great Miami River.

We took a bicycle trip on the path from Rip Rap Rd to Tipp City.  It was a beautiful Sunday with clear blue skies and temperatures in the mid-60s.

Big Bear and I did a little bicycling on the Trotwood-to-Wengerlawn bike path.  This is a true rails-to-trail bike path that we once used by trains from the B&O railway.
