I had a busy weekend at the Nutt House… went to the WSU Raiders basketball home opener against Illinois State on Saturday, and the Bombers hockey game against Johnstown on Sunday.
The Raiders had a tough 69-61 loss against a more athletic team… New WSU player, Scott Grote, had a horrible “welcome home” game… Since the Raiders have no real experience in the center, they are going to be hurting againt teams with talented big men.
The Bombers are a vastly improved team versus last year’s club, and they beat this year’s best ECHL team 3-1. There are only 2 or 3 holdovers from last year… I’m very impressed with the little-man from Miami University, Nino Musitelli. He’s only 5’8″ but he’s fast and aggressive.
