Cincinnati Posts a Record Year

No, the Cincy Reds baseball team still sucks… and the Bengals can’t keep their players off of the police blotter page (or win a game when it really matters).  The new record for Cincinnati in 2006 is the quantity of homicides.  As the Cincinnati Enquirer notes: “With 86 homicides in 2006, the year was Cincinnati’s deadliest since police began keeping consistent records in 1950”.

  1. I heard plenty of it in the local media in Cincinnati around the holidays. It really is a shame. Unfortunately it sparked my grandmother to elicit some non PC statements about blacks on Christmas day (understand she is very old and from Kentucky). As a result I had to have a talk with her and confiscate her wine glass.
