For all of our family vacations, I typically drag along our Canon SD 700 6-megapixel camera along with our Canon Elura 40 Mini-DV tape camcorder. For the last five years, I’ve been searching for a decent quality unit that combines both video and photo into one unit.
Canon has recently introduced their HR10 HD camcorder that captures 1080i HD quality video, and also sports 3 megapixel camera capability. The HR10 has a 10X optical zoom, image stabilization, and records everything to a mini DVD disk. All of this for around $1,000. It looks worthy of consideration…
