Is there a pattern there? Have the Democrat Governors and Mayors just lost their minds?
The Mayor of Los Angeles came to a press conference where he ordered every Los Angeles resident to wear a face mask to get “more freedoms” during the COVID-19 outbreak [aka “you must obey”].
Just look at the stories about the Democrat Governors in the bankrupt and dysfunctional States of California, Illinois, and New York. They believe that it is their prerogative to lock-down their state economies until COVID is ‘eradicated.’ Have they really lost this much of understanding their basic mission and roles in a democratic republic?
Or, as others have noted, is this just a dry-run test of what it will take to install a tyrannical regime running our lives:
We have become part of a mass scale human experiment in government control and it turned out that stripping away our freedom wasn’t all that difficult. Under the guise of concern for our health and well-being, tyrants came out of the woodwork. Our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, and our lives are being destroyed as the left solidifies and expands their oppressive powers. We’ve been herded around like cattle, threatened, isolated, confined, silenced, and arrested. You name it, it’s happening.
