Thanks to my good buddy, Walt Wood, we attended the Ohio State .vs. Miami University hockey game last night at the new $35 million Coach Cady Arena on the campus of Miami University (Walt is a Miami alum and I’m an OSU alum). As evidenced by the photo below — while it’s a small arena — it’s a beautiful venue for a hockey game.
The quality of play was a little suspect (each team had only 6 shots on goal in the first period), but the game ended on an exciting note. My Buckeyes pulled their goalie in the last minute of the game, and scored a goal to tie it up 2 to 2. The teams played a rousing 5 minute overtime with the game ending in a tie.
