A 15-mile bicycle ride along closed roads and bike-ways around Northwest Dayton provides some insights into the I-70 highway construction. I used the Sunday ride as an opportunity to walk around the construction areas and snap some photos of the bridges undergoing the widening.
The first three photos show the widening of the bridge pilings over the Stillwater River. This type of work is likely a little more challenging since the construction crews have to deal with bridge supports sunk into the soft riverbed. Meanwhile, the second set of photos shows the bridge widening over Frederick Road.
