Is the ACLU Concerned about Constitutional Liberty or Communism?

There are many far-left organizations with seemingly progressive names that make one believe that they focus on mainstream American values.  These organizations include “People for the American Way“, “Move On“, “American Civil Liberties Union” (ACLU), etc.  Unfortunately, most of these organizations strongly promote distorted Liberal values.  For example, while the ACLU has indeed supported important efforts for individual liberty, they appear to have lost their way… the ACLU is the organization that supported the KKK in their bid to hold a rally in a predominately black neighborhood.

Perhaps the ACLU really is returning to their roots when you consider the famous quote from the founder of the ACLU:  “I am for socialism, disarmament and ultimately for abolishing the state itself as an instrument of violence and compulsion. I seek social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and sole control by those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal.”
