The New York Times is an Embarassment

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I find the New York Times to be an embarrassing excuse for a newspaper.  I’m not complaining about their well-known political slant.  I’m talking about the quality of the reporting and editorials.

At one time, I used to be a regular reader.  However, after consuming commentaries from the likes of Tom Friedman, Paul Krugman, Maureen Dowd, etc., I took a step back and thought “how could one news organization concentrate so many mediocre writers in one location?”

For me, it’s come to the point where I now actively avoid anything from the New York Times — I’ve deleted the NYT app on my Palm Pre and I avoid any “news” links that point the the Times.
