Road Bike vs eBike

I did two 10-mile bicycle rides on the same course around the Englewood dam in North Dayton.  You can see the riding path and respective stats in the images below, as well as photos of the bicycles.  The Cannondale road bike required quite a bit of hard pedaling through the various elevation changes.

Meanwhile, the G-Force ebike was very easy on the cardio, often cruising at 30 mph on flat ground (of course, with electric motor assistance).  Obviously, the Map-My-Ride app was unaware that I was using an ebike during my high-speed tour.

  1. It just shows that Map-My-Ride doesn’t take an eBike into consideration. It looked at my speeds on a “cycle” and decided that I must have really been pumping out the energy.
