Scarlet Letter in Iran… Nope

The infamous BBC reported that an Iranian adulterer has been stoned to death in public.  With this Moslem custom of punishment by stoning, a male convict is buried up to his waist with his hands tied behind his back, and his community of peers proceed to throw stones at his upper torso until he is dead.

Note to readers of the Scarlet Letter: The red letter “A” was used America in the 17th century…  In Iran, which behaves as if it’s in the 7th century, this is how they handle adultery.
