Business Trip to Tucson and Phoenix

I just returned from a full-week business trip to Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona… we found a little time during the end of one of the workdays to take a drive to the foothills of the Catalina mountains in Tucson.  As you can see from the thumbnails below (click for larger picture), there are some fantastic homes on the base of the mountains along with plentiful saguaro cacti.

In Phoenix, we took a side-trip to the “Mystery Castle”, which is a mix of recycled products that have been turned into an eclectic (and eccentric) home.  We also took a drive up to the summit of South Mountain Park, which provided a fantastic view of the Phoenix valley.

As we were preparing to head home on Friday, everyone asked why we were leaving with the Superbowl coming into town.  We took a quick detour on the way to the airport and we showed up at University of Phoenix Stadium (location for the Superbowl) a couple of days too early.
