A Bunch of Basketball

We’ve had a “boat load” of basketball in Southwest Ohio this weekend… there was the OSU victory .vs. Tennessee on Saturday afternoon; the UD .vs. La Salle victory on Saturday evening; and the WSU .vs. UWGB victory at home on Saturday night… Wow!

On top of all of that, I went to the “Flyin’ to the Hoop” high school basketball tournament on Sunday and caught the better part of three games with my buddy Dave Chaliff.   This is a growing tournament that features about 15 of the elite high school basketball programs from around the country.  For example, one of the teams from California has three players that are taller than 7 feet!  In addition, some of these high schools have upwards of four players that already have been recruited into Division 1 basketball colleges.  This year the featured game had the number one team in the country, Oak Hill Academy from Virginia, playing against the local state champion runner-up, Trotwood-Madison.

  1. Do you know how to find out if any OH school has had both the boys and girls teams in the state AP top 10 poll in the same year. Trotwood-Madison holds 4th and 7th respectively this week. Any help would be appreciated.

  2. No, I don’t know of a site that provides historical data on high school ranking information… that is a great accomplishment for T-M
