It’s a Wonderful Life

We went to see the theatrical version of “It’s a Wonderful Life” yesterday at the La Comedia Dinner Theatre.   For those of you not aware, It’s a Wonderful Life was originally a 1946 movie that starred Jimmy Stewart.  The general theme of the story is appreciate what you have.  The movie typically appears in many lists as one of the top 100 films of all time.

I didn’t realize that the play version turned the Frank Capra story into a musical.  While the show at La Comedia had fairly strong lead players, many of the supporting actors really couldn’t support the demands of performing in a musical.  Overall, we gave the show a grade of a B – .
