With the Flyers penchant for low scoring, we knew that the Coach Grant’s offensive scheme wasn’t working. But just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse — the Flyers get blown out at Virginia Tech 77-49. Adding insult to injury is former Wright State Raiders player, Grant Basile, going for 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocked shots. Wow!
Meanwhile, is it possible for a team to be as inept as the Flyers are now? They shot 30% from the field, 20% from 3-point, and 59% from the charity stripe… My son’s 7th grade basketball team shoots better than that!
Perhaps Anthony is expecting too much from freshman Mongo-Mike (25% from the field, 0% from 3, 0% from free-throw line in 35 minutes of court time). Do you think an exorcist could help the Flyers?
